Voices for every kind of project

  • 01

    Narrators and presenters

Calm, trustworthy and expressive voices for explainers, courses and documentaries.

  • 02

    Characters

Heroes, queens, villains, comedians, anime characters and a ghost, for games, animation and stories.

  • 03

    A robot voice generator

Robot armor gives a metallic, mechanical sound, without a separate effects plug-in.

  • 04

    Many languages

MiniMax voices were recorded in 24 languages, so a Spanish or Japanese line sounds native.

How to generate a voice

  1. 01

    Write the line

Write the line exactly as it should be spoken, with punctuation for pauses and emphasis.

  2. 02

    Browse the voices

In the voice list, MiniMax voices are grouped by language; the robot sits under Character voices (Mandarin).

  3. 03

    Generate and compare

Try the same line in two or three voices; short lines cost only a few credits each.

How an AI voice generator works

Each voice is a speaker identity the model learned from recordings. When you generate, the model writes new speech in that identity for your text, choosing rhythm and intonation from the words and punctuation. That is why the same voice can read a news bulletin or a bedtime story.

Unlike voice changers, which transform your own recording, a text-based AI voice generator needs no microphone: you type, it speaks.

Using the robot voice

Robot armor was recorded as a Mandarin character voice, and MiniMax voices can read other languages with the same timbre. Short, clipped sentences suit it best: system announcements, game lines, intros. Test a line first, since a voice always sounds most natural in its own language.

What this voice generator will not do

There is no voice cloning, and none of the voices imitates a real person. Do not use any voice to pass off speech as a real person's, to deceive listeners or to harass anyone; our terms forbid it and accounts that do it are closed.

AI voice generator FAQ

Is this AI voice generator free?

New accounts get 5,000 free characters when you sign up, enough to compare dozens of voices on short lines. After that, lines cost 1 credit per character, $0.06 to $0.10 per 1,000 characters.

Can it make a robot voice?

Yes. Choose MiniMax, open the voice list and pick Robot armor under Character voices (Mandarin). For a colder effect, use short sentences and a slightly slower speed, or add effects in your editor afterwards.

Can I clone my own voice or a celebrity's?

No. The site offers only the providers' built-in synthetic voices. Imitating a real person, including public figures, is not allowed.

Can I use the voices in a game or video?

Yes, for videos, podcasts, ads, courses and apps, within our terms and the usage policies of the model you used. Two rules matter most: do not present a synthetic voice as a real person's, and if you publish audio made with OpenAI voices, OpenAI asks you to tell listeners the voice is AI-generated. We cannot promise a voice is exclusive to you; other customers use the same voices.
