Text to speech online vs. built-in readers
Phones and computers already include text to speech: screen readers, Read Aloud in browsers, and the speech engine built into Android, often searched for as Google text-to-speech. They are excellent for listening on your own device, but they read with the system's voices and do not give you a polished file to publish.
Google also sells text-to-speech to developers through Google Cloud, which requires a project, billing and code. This generator runs neural voices from MiniMax, OpenAI and Google's Gemini in one page and hands you the audio file, with no setup.
